The Sensitive plant (Mimosa pudica) aka Sleeper Plant aka Shameplant aka Planta durmiente grows wild in Costa Rica and other parts of Central America. The plant has a unique trait of immediately retracting it leaves or wilting in dramatic fashion when being touched. The Sensitive plant has been sold as an exotic plant along side it’s cousin the Venus flytrap. but here in Costa Rica they can be found in the wild quite easily, in fact they have been deemed an invasive species. #Sensitiveplant #mimosapudica #exoticplant #sleeperplant #plantadurmiente
