In this , the very first episode of “Costa Rica Pizza”, we go to Lona’s Pizza in Uvita (formerly Pizza Express) . The location is actually in Bahia near the entrance to the whale tail and next to Dolphin tours, Lona’s is a great place to go after a long day at the beach to eat pizza and relax. This is the Restaurant where I had my very first pizza in Costa Rica and is one of my “go to” places for pizza these days. It is a thick pizza with very nice sauce that comes in a wide variety of sizes. It is an interesting place to watch people going to and from the whale tail. Pizza can be eaten there or taken away for take out. There are also independent services that can deliver to your hotel or home.
