5:58holistic approach to that that Tre yes
6:01well I try to I certainly try to avoid
6:05chloride I avoid many chemicals like I
6:09said like metacrylate you know fluide uh
6:12form
6:13malid um conventional Dentistry contains
6:17a lot of chemicals that are harmful for
6:20the body so we try to avoid them we
6:22there’s Alternatives we can use calcium
6:25phosphate to remineralize teeth we can
6:28use hydroxyapetite
6:29there’s always alternative to these more
6:31toxic materials so we have been able to
6:34remove them we also do a metal free
6:36dentistry which means that we don’t use
6:38any uh heavy metals in our Dentistry we
6:41try to substitute for materials that are
6:44more biocompatible and uh I think a lot
6:47of the population that I cater to really
6:51appreciates that effort and so I’ve been
6:53doing it like that for 20 20 plus years
6:56that I’ve been practicing it and you’re
6:58you do accept new clients I do people
7:02have to be sometimes a little patient
7:04and wait for me a couple of weeks until
7:06there’s an opening but I do take new
7:07clients I work with a whole team of
7:09Specialists so I do the general
7:12dentistry but we have a root canal
7:14specialist an orthodonist a periodon we
7:17have three surgeons so with the whole
7:19team we’re able to get new clients all
7:21the time because we we compartmentalize
7:24like the Specialties and that allows to
7:26be more efficient uh but yeah people
7:29have to wait just a few weeks and we’ll
7:31take them in yeah and and it seems like
7:33you have a lot of patients that maybe
7:36from the States and Canada I I would say
7:39that’s my main uh clientele is expats um
7:43but it’s mostly people that live here in
7:44the country even uh if it’s not
7:47permanently like most of my patients
7:49live partially down here um I do take
7:52some people for um like um a tourist you
7:56know but um it’s always difficult with
7:59the constraint of time to sometimes
8:01achieve a whole treatment plan uh but if
8:04people call ahead or if they send an
8:06email and we’re able to work the
8:08logistics of the trip in a short narrow
8:11window of opportunity then we can get a
8:13lot done as long as we know ahead of
8:15time that they are coming and I will
8:18leave the the contact information for

8:29driving in Santa Cedro it’s you know
8:32it’s City driving and it’s congested and
8:35uh there’s a lot of oneway streets so on
8:39more than one occasion I have found
8:41myself going the wrong way on oneway
8:43street and people pointing and yelling
8:46at me to to to stop go the other
8:50way so yeah I like Santa Cedro but it I
8:55I find it very very difficult sometimes
8:59so as a gringo anytime that you
9:02encounter a Walmart in Costa Rica you’re
9:05obligated to go to that Walmart and here
9:09in Perez zelden there is a Walmart so
9:13I’ve got to fall into the stereotype I’m
9:16going to go to Walmart pick up a few
9:18things such a gringo such a gringo thing
