Massive Avalanche blocks Route 243 Costa Rica

The road from Dominical Costa Rica to San Isidro was blocked by a huge avalanche the cover route 243 with dirt and debris. Construction crew are working hard to remove the huge piles of earth from the landslide and at the same time regulating the traffic flow on the very narrow detour road that takes vehicles safely around the danger zone of the landslide. We take a look at the project from the air and also ride with the Costa Rica Car Cam to get a boots on the ground look at the traffic flow. At one point when I was filming with the drone, two birds flew high over head, guiding their shadows down the terraced earth of the project.
